Fleet Manager
Cascade Tropicals is looking for a Fleet Manager who
will oversee drivers, ensuring efficient routing and high customer
satisfaction. The ideal candidate will take charge of route planning and driver
operations and ensure smooth daily logistics for deliveries in Washington and
Oregon.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Within the first 30-60 days:
- Learns
Cascade Tropicals’ services, processes, and procedures, and purpose as
well as its clients and its position in the industry.
- Engages
with department heads to learn how each department can support the role.
- Rides
along with each driver for a full route to gain valuable insight into
operations firsthand.
Within the next 3 months and ongoing:
- Ensures
all orders go out weekly, reacting to any roadblocks (truck issues,
driver issues, etc)
- Becomes
proficient in the routing system and takes full ownership of this process
including responding to disruptions and schedule changes.
- Plans
driver routes daily and distributes to drivers via a dedicated group text.
Within the next 6 months and ongoing:
- Partners
with the General Manager to address hiring gaps and labor planning for the
upcoming year to ensure adequate staffing levels of drivers, trucks, and
other resources.
- Fulfills
fleet requirements efficiently as the Fleet Manager.
Within the next 12 months and ongoing:
- Establishes
and consistently achieves quarterly goals.
- Consistently
demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the company's operations,
culture, and goals.
EDUCATION, SKILL, EXPERIENCE:
- 1+
years of supervisory or leadership team experience required
- Bilingual,
with proficiency in both English and Spanish a plus
- Demonstrated
experience in operations management, logistics, and route operations in a
warehouse or production setting required
- Valid
driver’s license required
- Ability
to handle multiple moving pieces effectively required
- Ability
to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written
& verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and
the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities
surrounding responsibilities required
- Strong
organizational and time management skills required
- Strong
written and verbal communication skills and detail oriented with
exceptional interpersonal skills required
- Ability
to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds required
- Supervisory
experience in managing drivers a plus
- Knowledge
of DOT regulations and compliance a plus
- Certified
in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies a plus
- Familiar
with geography and localities in Washington and Oregon a plus
COMPENSATION & COMPANY BENEFITS INCLUDE:
The compensation range for this position is $70,000-$85,000
annually based on experience and skillset
